Thomas L. Sparks, age 49 and Bobbie A. Hall, age 37, both of Coal Hill were arrested after the execution of a search warrant at their residence on Highway 64 west of Coal Hill on Tuesday, December 9. The search warrant was executed by agents of the 5th Judicial Drug Task force and deputies of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office at approximately 3:00 p.m. An active methamphetamine lab was discovered in the residence and both were charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Circuit Judge Gordon "Mack" McCain set bond on Wednesday, December 10th on both subjects. Sparks' bond was set at $25,000.00 cash/commercial and bond for Hall was set at $20,000.00 cash/commercial. A hazardous materials clean-up crew from Little Rock was called to the scene to package and transport materials from the scene.
