On 08/31/16 the Franklin County Sheriff Department notified our department of an apparent suicide at a residence in the Batson area.  The Franklin County Sheriff Department received a call about a man threatening to kill himself after he had text a friend.  The friend called 911 and a Franklin County Deputy was dispatched to the address.  Once at the address, it was determined that it was in Johnson County.

Our department dispatched a detective who investigated the scene and determined that the injuries resulting in the death of the male subject were self inflicted.  The name of the victim is not being released out of respect for family and friends of the victim.
