The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call Tuesday March 31st  at approximately 5:05pm  on CR 3259 Clarksville. The caller stated there had been a man shot at that residence.

Johnson County CPL. Todd Russell and Deputy Kenny Smith arrived and secured the scene. Paramedics with Johnson Regional Medical Center transported the victim to the hospital.

Sheriff’s Investigators and other deputies arrived and began collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.  The suspect, Curtis Umholtz, was placed under arrest and transported to the Johnson County Detention. Mr. Umholtz will be charged with Battery 1st degree.

Danny Mitchell is currently in the hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing into the incident.
