The Johnson County Sheriff's Office has received multiple reports of a person or persons calling to solicit monies in the name of Johnson County Law Enforcement for a "Shop With A Cop" type program.

The Clarksville Police Department hosts an annual Shop With A Cop for children at Christmas and the Sheriff's Office hosts an annual Christmas Angels Poker Run for needy children.

Neither agency has contracted with, or has made arrangements with any outside entity to make any type of solicitation call on our behalf.

If you receive a call for a donation, please keep in mind that this is more than likely a scam and your donation will not be used for the benefit of a Johnson County child for Christmas.

Please politely decline their request for a donation and if you decide to donate, contact either the Clarksville Police Department or the Johnson County Sheriff's Office directly.
