Coal Hill Resident Arrested On Sexual Assault Charge

An investigation between the Coal Hill P.D. and Johnson County Sheriff's Office resulted in the arrest of a Coal Hill resident on charges of sexual assault against a minor.

The Coal Hill P.D. received a report on Sunday, December 15 that a 4 year-old female had been possibly touched inappropriately by a family friend who was babysitting the girl and her younger brother that day.

Officer Brad Kent requested assistance from the Sheriff's Office and Detective Jacob Shook entered the investigation which lasted throughout the night.

The children were transported to Hamilton House in Fort Smith for a forensic examination and interview.

The suspect was located at his residence on South 10th street in Coal Hill and was asked to come to the Sheriff's Office for an interview.

Upon completion of the interview, the suspect, Timothy Paul Cook, A.K.A Timmy Robbs, age 18 was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault 3rd Degree (Class C Felony) and was jailed.

Cook appeared before Circuit Judge Mac McCain on Monday, December 16 where his bond was set at $25,000.00 cash/commercial with a court date of January 10th in Johnson County Circuit Court.

Cook was ordered to have no contact with the victim or victim's family should he post bond in the matter.
