Search Warrant Served, Probationer Arrested On Drug Charges

A Johnson County resident who was placed on probation for the third time on April 11 was arrested by Johnson County Deputies after they served a search warrant at his residence on County Road 3385 on Wednesday, July 17.

Charles Needham, age 29 was arrested on charges of Possession Of A Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies, along with officers from the probation/parole office visited the Needham residence after it was discovered that he has possibly tampered with his electronic monitoring device.

Needham allegedly removed the electronic device from his leg which was part of his probation status.

Items of drug paraphernalia were visible in the residence in plain view.

Deputies then secured the residence and prepared a search warrant which was served at approximately 5:00 p.m.

In addition to the drug charges, probation/parole officers will issue a PTR (Petition To Revoke) warrant for Needham.

His next court date is September 6 in Johnson County Circuit Court.
