08/12/2009 Resident Arrested After Marijuanan Discovered Growing Behind Residence |

A 72 year-old resident of the Flat Rock community was arrested by deputies after they discovered 2 marijauana plants growing in his back yard. On Tuesday, August 11, deputies were looking for marijuana with the help of an Arkansas National Guard helicopter when they spotted the plants growing in buckets behind the residence on County Road 1794. Deputies seized the plants and wrote a search warrant for the residence where processed marijuana, firearms and drug paraphernalia were discovered. The suspect, James Huss was transported to the Johnson County Detention Center to await a bond hearing. He is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possesion of drugs and firearms. |
