2 Arrested, 1 Sought For Questioning In Copper Theft

2 Johnson County residents, James (Jamie) Palmer, age 43 and Waylon Curtis, age 26 were arrested by Deputy Jeff Wood and Detective Chad Morrow in connection with theft of copper wire from a residential construction site belonging to Keith Eichenberger located on CR 2290.  When workers arrived at the site at approximately 6:30 a.m on August 6, they discovered all of the wiring in the residence had been removed.  Information provided by the workers led to the suspects' identification.  Both suspects were located at different locations and gave statements indicating that they and a third suspect removed the wiring from the residence during the overnight hours.  The value of the wire and labor to replace it was reported to be between $5000-$6000.  Both suspects are charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass, breaking/entering and theft of property and are incarcerated in the Johnson County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.  A bucket containing the wire taken from the residence was recovered. The copper wire had been burned by the suspects to remove the casing prior to being sold.  A person of interest, Matt Keylon of Clarksville is wanted for questioning in connection with this investigation.
