Deputy Holt
Deputy Russell

Acting on an anonymous tip, Johnson County Deputies discovered approximately 386 starter marijuana plants on Tuesday, May 17 at approximately 9:00 p.m.

The discovery was made in a heavily wooded area in Clarksville near the James Street apartments.  The plants ranged in size from very small seedlings to 4 inches in height.

Deputies discovered the plants growing in several plastic flats, coffee cans and pots.  A plastic 2-liter bottle was discovered near a creek that deputies believe was used to water the plants.

Participating in the seizure of the plants were Deputy Tyler Holt, Deputy Todd Russell, Corporal Glenda Morrison and Deputy Jacob Shook. The investigation is continuing.  Anyone with any information on this case or any suspected drug activities should contact the Sheriff's Office at 754-2200 or 705-8477 (TIPS).
