After approximately 15 hours of deliberations, jurors in the capital murder trial of Gary Dunn informed Circuit Judge Bill Pearson that they were hopelessly deadlocked and could not reach a verdict. That prompted Judge Pearson to declare a mistrial in the case at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28. Jurors were thanked for their service and dismissed from the courtroom. This was the second trial for Dunn in Johnson County Circuit Court and the second time a mistrial was declared. |
