Sheriff Jimmy Dorney was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Sheriff's Association Northwest Quadrant. The state is divided into four quadrants, each serving a similar number of counties, with 4 Sheriff's elected from each quadrant. The Northwest Quadrant contains 19 counties. The quadrant representatives meet periodically to discuss laws, legislation and problems facing Sheriff's Offices, Detention Centers and 911 Centers across the state. Sheriff Dorney was elected to the board by the executive committee of the Arkansas Sheriff's Association. Sheriff Dorney joins Logan County Sheriff Steve Smith, Newton County Sheriff Keith Slape and Benton County Sheriff Keith Ferguson on the board. |
