Barling Resident Arrested After Entering Residence
Bradley Childers

Bradley Childers, age 33 of Barling was arrested on June 17 by Deputy Don Cunningham after Cunningham responded to an alarm call at the Dwight Hoyle residence, located on Hwy 164 north of Coal Hill.  Upon his arrival at the residence at approximately 3:30 p.m., Deputy Cunningham noticed a back door was open and a screen door had been pried on.  Cunningham checked the residence but found no one inside.  At approximately 6:30 p.m., Cunningham received a call of a subject acting strangely at a construction site near the Hoyle residence.  Cunningham made contact with Mr. Childers at the site and noticed Childers was acting strangely.  Childers told Cunningham that he was under the influence of painkillers and methamphetamine.  Cunningham arrested Childers for tresspassing because Childers had been fired from the construction site earlier in the day for being under the influence of drugs.  Childers was interviewed the next day by Detective Chad Morrow and Childers admitted entering the Hoyle residence "to look for water".  Childers is charged with Residential Burglary and Theft of Property.  Childers appeared before Judge Bill Pearson on June 19th where his bond was set at $25,000.00 cash/commercial.  Childers has an initial court date of July 10.
