Search Warrant Served; 4 Arrested On Various Charges

4 Johnson County residents were arrested by deputies on Saturday, May 15 after a search warrant was served at their residence on County Road 2291 after a tip. Deputies discovered marijuana plants growing behind a shed and weapons in the residence in violation of court ordered probation. The initial investigation also resulted in the solving of a residential burglary of the Charlie Acord residence on the Little Mulberry area on April 16, a residential burglary at the Jennifer Holland residence on May 5 and a residential burglary that ocurred in southern Madison County around the same time frame. Arrested were Derrick James Marlow, age 18, James David Karson, age 19, Jeremy Dale Marlow, age 19 and Bobby Lee Marlow, age 21. Derrick Marlow is charged with Residential Burglary (2 counts), Criminal Trespass (2 counts), Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. James Karson is charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance. Jeremy Marlow is charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance. Bobby Marlow is charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Aiding the Consummation of an Offense and Possession of a Firearm By Certain Persons. All 4 will appear for bond hearings on Monday, May 17. The investigation is continuing with more suspects being sought for questioning in connection with the burglaries and thefts.
