2 Fort Smith residents were arrested by Deputies on Friday, February 19 at approximately 9:30 p.m. after they delivered prescription drugs to a Johnson County residence during an undercover operation. Rochelle McCarrick, age 25 and William Jones, age 25 were taken into custody after delivering the drugs. Both are charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Prescription Drugs w/o a Prescription, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (2nd Degree). When the drugs were delivered, Ms. McCarrick had her two children, ages 8 and 20 months in the vehicle. An enhanced penalty may be added as the drugs were delivered within 1000 feet of a church. Both appeared before Circuit Judge Bill Pearson on Monday, February 22 where their bonds were set at $10,000.00 cash/commercial with an initial court date of March 5 in Johnson County Circuit Court.
