Resident Arrested For Drugs, Paraphernalia

A Coal Hill resident was arrested at Horsehead Park (Tick Hill) for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after the car in which he and 2 others were in was discovered parked with no lights on by Deputy Jacob Shook at approximately 9:00 p.m. on November 1. After receiving permission to search the vehicle the drugs and paraphernalia were discovered in a container beneath the arm rest. Seven syringes, 5 of which contained a liquid substance believed to be methamphetamine and a clear plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine was found. Arrested was James Havard, age 38. Havard is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Havard appeared before District Judge Len Bradley on November 2 where his bond was set at $5000.00 cash/commercial with an initial court date of November 6 in Johnson County Circuit Court.
