A Johnson County resident, Homer Shannon Carson, age 46 was arrested for D.W.I. and Possession of a Firearm By Certain Persons following a traffic stop by Deputy Don Cunningham on October 14. The Sheriff's Office received reports of Carson driving his vehicle erratically. Deputy Cunningham arrested Carson then discovered a 30-06 rifle with live rounds in the vehicle. Carson has previous felony convictions from different states. Carson appeared before Circuit Judge Bill Pearson on October 15 where his bond was set at $15,000 cash/commercial with a court date of November 6.
