05/21/2009 Resident Arrested on Drug Charges |

James Reeves, age 23 of Clarksville was arrested on misdemeanor traffic and felony drug charges after a traffic stop on Crawford Highway at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 21. Deputies Todd Russell and Jacob Shook stopped Reeves for a traffic violation and discovered he was driving on a suspended driver's license. Reeves was arrested on the charge and as deputies were searching him for weapons discovered a set of brass knuckles wrapped in a bandana in his back pocket. An inventory of his vehicle turned up suspected methamphetamine in a blue plastic baggie. Reeves is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Driving on a Suspended License, Failure to Register Vehicle, Carrying a Prohibited Weapon, No Proof of Insurance and Improper Display of Vehicle License. Reeves made an appearance before Circuit Judge Bill Pearson on Thursday, May 21 where his bond was set at $10,000.00 cash/commercial with an initial court date of July 10th. |
