A Clarksville resident was taken to Ozark Police Department for questioning on Monday, May 4 in connection with a bank robbery which ocurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the Westside Bank of the Ozarks branch in Ozark.  Johnson County Dispatch received a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) for a white extended cab truck traveling eastbound on Highway 64 at approximately 10:43 a.m. Deputies started surveillance on intersections and at approximately 11:10 a.m., Deputy Glenda Morrison met a truck matching the description at the intersection of Highway 109 and Crawford Highway.  The truck turned east headed toward Clarksville and Deputy Morrison turned around to follow it and check the license number.  The truck taveled approximately 300 yards before turning left onto County Road 2331 and then immediately into the parking lot of the RFD 9 fire station.  Deputy Morrison pulled in behind the truck and made contact with the driver, Danny Hefley, age 43 of Clarksville as Patrolman Mike Turner of the Clarksville P.D. arrived.  Because of evidence at the scene, Hefley was detained until units of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office arrived.  Hefley was taken to the Ozark P.D. for an interview and his truck was seized pursuant to a search warrant being issued.
