Knoxville Resident Arrested on 2 Felony Battery Counts

A 49 year-old Knoxville resident was charged with 2 felony counts of 2nd Degree Battery after separate incidents on March 7th.  Deputy Jacob Shook was dispatched to a residence on Jenkins Ferry Road where he made contact with the female, Kim Wilson, laying in a ditch beside the road.  Deputy Shook then arrested her for disorderly conduct drunk.  When she arrived at the detention center and was being processed in, she bit a female detention officer on the arm and had to be restrained.  On March 8, the Sheriff's Office received a call from the residence of an 83 year-old male resident of Jenkins Ferry Road.  His relatives reported that he had been assaulted by the defendant the previous evening and they had just discovered his injuries. His injuries were documented and the defendant was charged with the felony battery counts in both incidents.  Defendant Wilson has lived in Johnson County for approximately 6 months and has extensive criminal history from California, including drugs, thefts and previous assaults on law enforcement officers.  Wilson appeared before Circuit Judge Gordon McCain on March 9.  Her bond was set at $20,000.00 cash/commercial with an initial court date of May 1.
