Jeff Wood Deputy of the Year 2008

Deputy Jeff Wood has been named 2008 Deputy of the Year in a presentation held at the annual Sheriff's Office Christmas Gathering on December 20.  Deputy Wood is assigned to the patrol division and is in charge of sex offender registry in the county.  He joined the Sheriff's Office in 1996 as a part-time detention officer and was hired full time in 1997.  Deputy Wood was hired as a patrol deputy in 2002 and has worked in that capacity since.  He is a strong community volunteer, spending his free time coaching local youth in football and baseball, and spent 5 years serving on the Johnson County Boys Club Board of Directors.  Thanks, Jeff, for your support in our community and congratulations on this honor.
